Asus Bios Update Security Verification Failed Find
Just built my first computer My motherboard is the asus x88 plus apu is amd a10-7870k i dl'd the new bios and saved it on a usb drive like it ask however when i try to update the bios in the boot menu all u get is ' security verification failed' all of this with their ' asus ez flash ' which apparently is broken ASUS is always releasing new BIOS's, and generally they work. However they don't seem to be consistent in the way you update a BIOS.
I'm on my 5th or 6th ASUS motherboard and when I have had to update the BIOS, the method (all using EZ Flash) was seldom the same. Sometimes the BIOS file needed to be renamed, sometimes it didn't.etc. What I do now, is leave the BIOS alone unless some piece of new hardware actually requires it.
Then I call ASUS tech support and have them on the phone when I do it. Even then, it's not always successful.which is why they use un-soldered BIOS chips on their mobos. If worst comes to worst, they even sell BIOS chips, flashed to the latest version, for $14.99 in their e-store. Simple rule of thumb, don't update the motherboard's BIOS unless you absolutely have to.
